SBS-resources has a new home click the link below to download the latest version and don't hesitate to check out the new SBS-resources website:

http://www.sbs-resources.com/Downloads/index.html

I’d like to say a special thanks to Paul Brown who is the author of the SBS-R User Guide and the hi-res airfield plans which are available on SBS-R and if you have any requests for any airfields that haven’t been mentioned yet please go to:

http://www.kinetic-avionics.co.uk/forum ... php?t=8316

I would also like to thank Anmer, Chris and Kinetic Beta team for all their help. SBS-R would not be what it is if you weren’t there to give comment on it.
If you have any questions or queries please feel free to post your message here.

Thanks too Everbody for this

But is Stansted a London Airport or not ???

In airfields the AFB file is London Stansted the other two files are just Stansted.

Hi Paul,
The AFP for Leeds seems to have fallen off the edge when the final version of the software was compiled - but has been incorporated in the next update.

Any desperate for the Leeds AFP, drop me a pm with your email address and will forward the file by return

Evening guys,

Just a couple of questions before i finally install these new outlines.

I noted the size of the file when i downloaded it, how much will this slow down the start up of basestation??

Also, is there an option not to install any of the files or do i have to delete them from the outline folder once installed rather than just opt not to show them via the display settings in basestation.

Sorry if these are numpty questions

Hey moonie

All the outlines are in sections (airfields, final approach, holds etc.) so you can download what you want and that's it. The reason why its so big is there are a lot of files available to install on to basestation.

So you don't have to worry about going to the outlines folder to delete what you don't want.

Only install what you want

Postby chrisg0wtz » January 12th, 2009, 8:32 pm

Only install what you want

If you only want outlines then only install outlines.If you want flags Logos SBS populate or Flight display they are there as well.

The load time with no outlines and all outlines is about a 3 second start time so no big deal.

When I was doing tests on this package I was using an old IBM notebook and from basic Basestation to all Outlines,Logos & Flags made a difference of about 20 seconds on start up.

If you find it is slow to load then go to reporter pack the database also make sure trails are set to off on start up

Just an error message when trying to use the downloads. I was trying the outlines, but tried holds and it did the same there too.

Can anyone help me out with this error?

To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this

jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Hey

Just a notice to inform people on the situation with DaveUK's error.

Basically what the situation was, was the SBS-R folder 'SBS-Resources V3.1.5' had been placed into another directory which was located in a remote drive for example:

Z:\Folder1\SBS-Resources V3.1.5

If any other uses are using remote drives please do not place the SBS-R folder into another folder instead have it on the remote drive for example:

Z:\SBS-Resources V3.1.5

This is because the application files struggles to locate the files that are wanting to be installed on to the computer.

Cheers

Hi Folks, nice to put faces to names to-day..

I have copied the data from the mem stick but for some reason it fails to pick up?
It created a folder in C:\Program Files\Kinetic\BaseStation\SBS-resources
all files seem to be there but are not picked up or seem active.

Have i created the folder in the wrong location? and do i need to move these items to another place to become active? or should i knock the whole lot out and start again to another directory ?

I currently dont have high res or many of the files, system is xp aqnd version is basestation is v24

Cheers,
Smudger.
