Sqlite dll update

Postby Keith D » November 19th, 2009, 5:11 pm

Oh Man

once again we find what could be important to some buried
in an old thread which could be ignored by some quite easily

there is a SQLite . dll file update on the web

http://www.sqlite.org/sqlitedll-3_6_20.zip

apparently this has helped a little to eleviate sqb file errors
not sure which but some with updated .DLL file are reporting
improvement

if you wish to follow the whole bit its here

Bones if you read this i am sure you know what many of us are thinking
any chance??? even 30 mins per day would help. Chris cant be expected to do everything including his day job.

for the record i have installed this update and all is running well----so far

cheers

I couldn't possibly begin to understand what you are thinking. ;)

I alredy spend well beyond 30 minutes per day on this forum sandwiched between my other responsibilities.

Just for the record my SQLite.DLL is still an old one dated 2007 and I have no problems running BaseStation or associated add-ons.

There have been over 30 - SQLite3.dll updates since the one that comes with Basestation v130 which was released on 14/12/2007 (3.5.4).

As we don't know how Basestation code was written to use and interface with the SQLite3 engine back in 2007 it would be prudent to keep the original dll safe to reinstate and should you get errors when using a later dll you can revert back to the original first to check if that cures the error/problem.

What really should happen is Kinetic and/or Chris need to advise if later SQLite3.dll's are supported.

I won't be replacing the dll, as all seems to be working fine with the original.

Hi

ok just thought i might try !!

re .DLL file same here same file as you
but some getting error messages
seem to be reporting improvement.

like you none here so no idea if it helps
but keeping things up to date doesnt do any harm

i copied both files over from download
only because i dont know what a .DEF file is or does
hasnt done any harm will have a look on web and see what its all about later

cheers for now
